Product Description
PROTIMEs N22-ELR senses the Earth leakage current through CBCT. These leakage current if continues, can cause insulation breakdown resulting Earth fault, which results in to loss of life or damage to equipment. PROTIME N22-ELR energises / denergises an internal relay based on Mode of operation selected by user (i.e. Normal or Fail Safe) when Leakage current goes out of the range selected on the dial. PROTIME-Earth Leakage Relays are provided with user selectable two Tripping Ranges, and also two Time delay ranges in one unit. The CBCT is connected externally with the Busbar or cable carrying load current passed through it.

FAQ's of Earth leakage Relays N22 ELR X:30mA-30A:
Q: How does the N22 ELR X:30mA-30A relay provide earth leakage protection?
A: This relay continuously monitors electrical currents and detects leakage by measuring the difference between line and neutral currents. When leakage exceeds the adjustable sensitivity (from 30mA to 30A), it triggers its potential-free relay output to disconnect the supply, preventing electrical hazards.
Q: What is the installation process for the N22 ELR X:30mA-30A relay?
A: The relay is designed for easy DIN rail mounting, making it straightforward to install into main distribution boards, sub-distribution panels, or control panels. Screw terminals facilitate secure wiring connections, and the compact size allows efficient use of panel space.
Q: When should I use the auto or manual reset function?
A: Use the auto reset option where automatic restoration of supply after a fault is safe and desirable, such as in unmanned setups. Manual reset is recommended for applications requiring an operator's inspection before restoring the circuit, ensuring enhanced safety after a leakage event.
Q: Where can this earth leakage relay be applied effectively?
A: The device is suitable for use in industrial, commercial, and residential settings, particularly for protecting main and sub-distribution boards, control panels, and various electrical equipment exposed to potential earth leakage faults.
Q: What benefits does the relay's instantaneous response offer?
A: With an operate time of less than 200ms, the relay quickly isolates faulted circuits upon detection of leakage, significantly reducing the risk of electrical shock, equipment damage, or fire caused by earth faults.
Q: How do the LED indications assist in monitoring?
A: The built-in LED provides clear visual feedback on operational status and leakage faults, allowing for quick and accurate on-site assessment by maintenance staff or operators.
Q: What makes this relay suitable for harsh environments?
A: It operates reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -10C to +55C and humidity up to 95% RH (non-condensing). High insulation resistance, robust construction, and conformity to international standards further enhance its suitability for demanding conditions.
