Product Description
The relay senses the Earth leakage current for any equipments like L. T. Panels, Switch boards, Generators, Transformers, Motors etc. These Leakage current if continues can cause insulation breakdown resulting Earth fault, which results in to loss of life or damage to equipment. The PROTIME Earth leakage relay senses leakage current through CBCT & energies relay when current goes out of the range selected on the dip switches. The Relays are provided with user settable (0-10 Sec) time delay. The CBCT is connected externally with the Busbar or cable carrying load current passed through it. The Relay has facility to show fault current indication on pressing STATUS Button. Thus this feature helps user to identify the point of fault & find out the value of fault current passing through it.
Advanced Earth Leakage DetectionThe ELR96-1C B earth leakage relay is engineered to provide precise earth fault detection, with a selectable sensitivity range from 50mA to 500mA. Equipped with LED fault indication, it quickly identifies leakage conditions, ensuring rapid response and heightened electrical safety. Its electronic sensing mechanism guarantees reliable monitoring for both industrial and commercial applications.
Robust Design and Easy InstallationWith its compact, miniature size and durable ABS/polycarbonate flame retardant housing, the relay is designed to withstand rigorous environments. Its versatile flush or panel mounting capability, combined with screw type terminals and accessible front-panel test and reset controls, make installation and maintenance straightforward for users and technicians.
Flexible Operation and ComplianceSupporting both manual and automatic reset modes, the ELR96-1C B adapts seamlessly to various operational needs. The relay conforms to IS 12640 and IEC 60255 standards and endures up to 2 million mechanical operations, ensuring longevity and consistent performance under dynamic electrical conditions.
FAQ's of Earth Leakage Relays ELR96-1C B:50mA-500mA:
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity range on the ELR96-1C B Earth Leakage Relay?
A: The sensitivity range on the ELR96-1C B is selectable via its front panel, allowing you to set it to 50mA, 100mA, 200mA, 300mA, or 500mA depending on your protection requirements.
Q: What is the benefit of LED indication for Earth Fault and relay output status?
A: LED indicators provide immediate and clear visual alerts for both earth faults and relay output status, enabling quick identification and response to leakage conditions, which enhances electrical safety and reduces downtime.
Q: When should I use the manual reset versus the auto reset mode?
A: Manual reset mode is recommended when you want to investigate and clear a fault before resetting, ensuring issues are resolved before resuming operation. Auto reset mode is suitable for systems where continuous operation is essential, and automatic resumption is safe after transient faults.
Q: Where can I install the ELR96-1C B relay?
A: The relay is designed for flush or panel mounting, making it suitable for a variety of industrial and commercial control panels and distribution boards.
Q: How does the test and reset facility work on this relay?
A: The test and reset buttons are conveniently located on the front panel. The test button simulates a leakage event to verify relay operation, while the reset button restores the relay after a fault, depending on the mode selected.
